Quick, simple 6-ingredient dressing that will add a kick of flavour to any dish you want!
One thing that we always missed when we first went plant-based was creamy dressings. It’s been hard to find an oil-free, dairy-free dressing that is versatile, and creamy at the same time. This tahini garlic sauce has proven time and time again to be simple to make, and delicious when generously poured on pretty much anything.
We started using this sauce to add a punch of flavour to our greek buddha bowls - find the recipe here! Recently we’ve been making it in double batches and keeping it in the fridge to use on salads, and grain bowls, and even to spruce up some leftovers.
This recipe is one of those staple foods that have helped us stay on track, and has helped us feel our best!
You can change up the flavour profile a little bit too, try adding some nutritional yeast, and pouring it on pasta for an Alfredo sauce feel, or try adding some sun dried tomatoes for an entirely different - but still very delicious flavour.
Makes almost ¾ cup.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
¼ cup tahini
Juice from ½ lemon
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cloves of garlic
¼ tsp paprika
¼ cup of water
• To make the sauce, throw all ingredients into a high-powered blender and blend until smooth and thick. Add more water until desired consistency has been reached. Taste and adjust flavour to liking.
• These can be stored in the fridge for up to 10 days. (Could be longer if you like to take risks, ours has never lasted longer than 10 days). Separation is normal, simply shake it up before each use.
Make it, Enjoy it, and Share it!
